Left-handed people are sometimes placed at a slight disadvantage by the prevalence of right-handed tools, since most of them are designed to be comfortably used with the right hand. This may apply in the case of Windows too!
Pointers & Mouse Settings for left-handed people
This tip may therefore interest the left handed people as it will tell you where to get the pointers/cursors and how to change the mouse settings too.
You can download cursors for left handed persons from Microsoft.
Now in your C:WindowsCursors folder, create a new folder called LeftHanded.
Decide which size pointers you want to use & download the following six left-handed mouse cursor files that correspond to this size.
a. aero_arrow_left.cur
b. aero_busy_left.cur c. aero_helpsel_left.cur d. aero_link_left.cur e. aero_pen_left.cur f. aero_working_left.cur
Now, open the Mouse Properties via Control Panel and select the Pointers tab. In the Scheme drop-down list box, select “Windows Aero (large) (system scheme)”, if it isn’t already selected. Click Save As and name your new scheme “LeftHanded”. Press OK.
In the Customize list, select the Normal Select pointer. Click Browse and go to C:WindowsCursorsLeftHanded. Select “aero_helpsel_left”. Click Open. Similarly set the other remaining Mouse pointers. Finally click Apply > OK.
Next, you may want to swap the Left & Right Mouse Buttons. To do so, again open the Mouse Properties dialog box via the Control Panel. In the Buttons tab, select Switch primary and secondary buttons. Click Apply > OK.

Hello,
switching the mouse buttons is not enough to get a useful ergonomic system.
What about the direction of the mouse pointer? They usually point to the top left,
which is the primary direction a right hand mouse user directs the mouse,
but it is outright wrong for a lefthand user. The pointer then points in a queer direction.
Is there a set of mirrored mouse pointers available as well?
Regards,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,
This might help: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/15833/make-your-mouse-pointers-left-hand-friendly/
The MSDN link doesn't work anymore but I'd try the 6 cursor .zip file download.

I have the same issue as Thomas. I visited that Website, but I still can find a solution for Windows 10. I can't believe that Windows doesn't have an option for left handed people yet, to change the pointer towards the right! I feel that my hand now goes to the right and my brain to the left.. It is really annoying and disrupting. How do I solve the problem??? Is there anybody in this large company who can understand left handed people??? And consider us when they program computers, including the pointer itself, not just the button?

Good day.
Pressing the Windows Key + W Key Together does not bring up any menu.
How To Switch Mouse To Left Hand Lyrics
I found 'Settings' under the main Windows Menu, then 'Ease of Access' and 'Mouse', but the only options there are 'Pointer Size / Color' and the ability to use the keypad instead of a mouse.
So I don't know where to go to change the mouse from Right Handed to Left Handed.
Thank you.

yes, it's worth learning - no, it's not worth doing. there's something to be said, in my opinion, for having your dominant hand on the keyboard. also, time spent training yourself to mouse on the other side could just as well be time spent training yourself to mouse on the conventional side.
there's no shortage of left handed gamers (including me), but there's a reason that left handed mousing is so incredibly rare. it's really only necessary in cases of disability and terrible furniture. if you DO decide to go this route, i suggest not swapping mouse buttons. off-hand mousing for someone you're standing next to is a useful skill, and their buttons won't be switched.
